Did you peep the way the artists featured on the album had their yearbook pictures put on? That was special! And it’s not just me who feels this way. Just look at The College Dropout and how the yearbook theme was prevalent throughout the album booklet. There’s a level of thought and personality that comes with an album’s packaging that you cannot replicate through streaming. Me buying CDs is as much about me wanting to support the artist as it is about the personal joy I get from owning them. To be honest, my reasoning for not liking streaming services over physical copies is selfish. I get that it makes it easier to have a music library online as opposed to walking around with a handful of CDs. Yeah, I know it’s way more convenient I’m not denying that.
